You may have heard the buzz about Stella’s Kitchen around the studios during the Challenge… BUT they’re here to stay! If you’ve ever wondered about the magic of meal prep– Stella’s Kitchen is a go-to. Learn more about the benefits of Stella’s Kitchen and how you can SIGN UP:

1. Tell us a little bit about Stella’s Kitchen.

We’re a Portland based meal delivery company that specializes in conscious sourcing for farm to form meals. We work to provide athletes, busy professionals, and families with fresh, healthy, ready to eat meals.

2. How does it work?

Hop online to, pick out your favorites, add meals to your cart, order by Friday, and pick up Monday evening at designated location of your choice.

3. What kind of food do you offer?

All kinds! All of our meals are gluten, soy, corn, and refined sugar free. Plus, our menu that changes weekly, so there is always something new to try! From Northwest rustic flavors, to Asian flare and Spanish spice, each meal will be different from the last. Meals delivered Monday will stay fresh all week in the refrigerator. All meals contain a portion of quality protein (chicken, beef, or pork), carbs, and lots of seasonal vegetables.

4. Your website mentions your meals are paleo/paleo focused. What’s paleo?

A paleo style of eating focuses on high quality animal protein, lots of vegetables, healthy fats like coconut oil and avocado, and easily digestible carbs. A paleo diet naturally eliminates many common allergens, so many digestion problems are resolved on a paleo diet. We also do Whole30, primal, and vegetarian meals.

5. If I want to try out a paleo diet, but have never done it before, what can I expect? Will I be tired? Hungry? Energized?
Typically, the hardest part for people starting out is removing the bread, pasta, and sugar. After learning how to use fun and new foods for their nutrition, most people will start to notice better overall digestion (since we remove most of the hard to digest foods), more energy from all the nutrient dense foods you’ll be eating, and better sleep. Often people see fat loss due to removing all the junk and nutrient poor foods they’ve cut out. A paleo diet tends to be lower carb/higher protein than the ‘standard American diet’ which can also help with fat loss.

6. Who uses your service?

All kinds of people! Stella’s Kitchen knows we can’t do it all. We’re all trying to hit the gym, put in long hours in the office, raise perfect kids, and be a good spouse. Not everyone has an hour plus every night to make a balanced and fun meal for their family. And that’s after you’ve pre-planned and shopped before the week even starts! Schedule in a few Stella’s Kitchen dinners and spend a little more time with the family.

7. How much do I have to order?

As much or as little as you need! We offer single meals, weekly meal plans, and family meals for small and large families. Meals range from $10-14 each.

8. How does the food come?

All meals are packed in microwaveable and recyclable plastic containers which are delivered in insulated Stella’s kitchen totes. Your food can be reheated in the microwave, transferred to an oven safe dish and heated in the oven, or stove top in a saute pan. Just return the insulated totes each week when you pick up your meals.

9. Where do you come up with your inspiration for the ever-evolving meal menu?
Inspiration comes from the seasons, our region of amazing produce and pasture raised animals. We construct meals in a way that can provide an array of nutritional needs, keeping in mind they’ll be in the refrigerator for a couple of days and reheated, likely in a microwave. I’m a picky eater who loves variety so I assume the same for everyone.
